What are Verbal Discords?Verbal discords are awkward, unclear, or out-of-place expressions that disrupt the flow of your speech. They can make you seem less confident or articulate.

2. Removing Verbal Discords

<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Identify fillers like “um,” “like,” or overused phrases.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Replace them with clearer, more polished alternatives.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Get feedback to catch unnoticed habits.</li></ul>

2.1 Steps to Remove Verbal Discord

What are Lexical Gaps?Lexical gap is when you say something in 5 minutes that should take only 10 seconds. Lexical gaps occur when you can’t find the right word or phrase to express a complex idea. This can lead to stumbling, hesitations, or vague language.Lexon: Words or Phrases we already know.

3. Addressing Lexical Gaps

<ul><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">For this, you've to learn more</li><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">If you want to 'Speak Clearly,' you have to 'Think Clearly,' for which you have to 'Log Lexical Gap'.</li></ul>

Reasons 1. The Idea is Unclear in Your Mind.

<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Intelligence is Compression of Information</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Write down your lexical gap. Writing is the slowest form of thinking.</li></ul>

Reason 2. Your Choice of Word is Vague

<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Watch Speeches, Movies, Podcasts.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Learn to do some word processing in advance.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Great Speakers usually first were writers. Write down your thoughts or speech beforehand and find the lexical gap. Your subconscious mind should take care of these.</li></ul>

4. Solving Lexical Gaps

Lexical simulations are targeted exercises where you practice using new words and phrases in context.<ul><li>Pick real situations (meetings, presentations).</li><li>Write and rehearse scripts using your improved vocabulary.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Refine based on feedback.</li></ul> Use the word 38 Unique Times to commit it to the subconscious memory.A word is 5 times more likely to be used when it is said aloud

In this video, I learned that elite speakers have a distinct verbal brand, which is essentially a unique way of expressing themselves that reflects their values and goals. This is how you become articulate with speaking. I discovered that building my own verbal brand involves choosing words and phrases that align with how I want to be perceived, avoiding overused or awkward expressions. I also need to address "lexical gaps"—the moments when I'm unsure of the right words—by learning new, clear ways to express complex ideas. Practicing these phrases aloud and embedding them into my subconscious will help me communicate more naturally and effectively like the elite 1%.
