To capture interest (and later gain support) for your idea (or project) focus first on the why—the value and benefits. Explain its importance clearly before getting lost in the how (the implementation details). It's what Wes calles 'Sales then Logistics'.
The logistics of getting something done are important, but not more important than the convincing. Her recomendation is to always sell your idea, even if you feel like you are repeating yourself.
