In the beginning, there was matter and energy. There was no meaning to it. Yet, now there is plenty of meaningāat least to us, in the sense that we use the term: significance. So, where did all this meaning come from? How did meaning enter a universe that lacks inherent meaning?
The quote means that while we cannot always control the external circumstances or events that happen to us, we can always adjust our own attitudes and actions to make the best of the situation and reach our goals. We have the power to adapt and make the most of what we have to work with, rather than letting external factors dictate our fate.
Our past and future are relatively insignificant compared to the greatness that resides within us. By tapping into our inner resources, we can overcome challenges and achieve greatness.
