I wake up at 5:30 A.M every single day, consistently, and the first thing that I do, after making up my bed, is to exercise for at least 30–40 minutes. This makes me happier and more satisfied with my results and achievements. Waking up early means getting most of the work done as soon as you start your day. This sets a routine for you. Doing a high-intensity workout early in the morning can kill laziness and make you feel productive.

Dividing your daily work and important tasks into 2 or more parts helps you tackle them very easily and effectively. I divide all my important and critical tasks into 3 categories — difficult, medium, and easy. The difficult types of work used to be done in the morning itself, because I found myself most energetic in the morning. The medium type of work is to be done in the evenings when I find myself a bit lazy. And the easiest types of work must be tackled during the night or during the late evening.

Make a proper Timetable or a To-Do-List to tackle your crucial and most important tasks every single day. It is the most effective practice that I follow every single day and this really helps in tackling various tasks every day. Stop wasting time on social media following people who don’t motivate you to get back to work. There are various types of people, celebrity stars, Influencers, creators, etc who are giving such friendly, positive and motivating content every single day. Follow them. Know their strengths and get inspiration from them.

Workspace is a very important place that you must take care of if you want to be more productive in life. Update or manage your workspace if you find something irrelevant or not use things in your table. Make your workspace clean and full of useful and productive things. Get rid and eliminate of things that you find useless. Your workspace is where you spend most of your time, so make sure it makes you feel motivated to work. In case you are bored of your workspace, shift it to a new room, preferably that has windows for fresh air.

Save your energy as much as you can. Do not get angry, frustrated, or stressed out. These all will drain your energy and will make you lazy and off from work. Eat nutritious and healthy foods to get some more energy so that you can feel refreshed and can tackle your work very easily. Get a Shower whenever you feel sleepy. Avoid Procrastination.

Divide your goals into yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily goals to make them seem achievable. Plan real-time actions to achieve those goals within the deadline you’ve set for them.

You have to take small breaks from your work.I prefer following the Pomodoro technique, which says that you work for 25 mins, have a laser-sharp focus, and then take 5–7 mins of break. Then again you continue this cycle again and again. This is a very effective technique that you can follow as well to take breaks from your heavy loads of work.You can also take small breaks between your work to feel relaxed and productive. Plan trips in a month or so, to feel rejuvenated and get back to work with fresh energy.

Maintaining focus nowadays is harder than ever before. Your pocket vibrates at any moment because you're getting ten new emails, social media has all these notifications, the phone is ringing, your kids need help, and your colleagues are asking you to chime in on some memo. Using mental models to maintain focus

Essentially, productive people tell themselves stories about what they expect to see. Engaging in this inner dialogue about what they think should be happening allows their brain to figure out what to focus on and ignore. For example, researchers found that the best NICU nurses created a picture in their minds of what they thought the perfect baby should look like. Then, walking through the unit, they would notice when babies didn't match that picture and investigate in good time to save the babies' lives.

People are much better at maintaining their focus, not reacting and not getting distracted because they've envisioned what they expect to occur ahead of time. So when riding the subway to work, they envision what the day will be like and what they expect to happen at that meeting. Or they have a picture in their mind of what it's going to be like to deal with the kids while making dinner.  The result is that their subconscious knows what to focus on when their pocket buzzes.

It is the ability to have credits and debits of other people’s time.”“Money buys you freedom in the material world. It’s not going to make you happy, it’s not going to solve your health problems, it’s not going to make your family great, it’s not going to make you fit, it’s not going to make you calm. I’ve learned a few things, and some principles. I try to lay them out in a timeless manner, where you can figure it out for yourself. Because at the end of the day, I can’t quite teach anything. I can only inspire you and maybe give you a few hooks so you can remember.

“You don’t get rich by spending your time to save money. You get rich by saving your time to make money.““Everybody who really makes money at some point owns a piece of a product, a business, or some IP.”“Usually, the real wealth is created by starting your own companies or even by investing.”“Without ownership, your inputs are very closely tied to your outputs.”“Getting rich is about knowing what to do, who to do it with, and when to do it. It is much more about understanding than purely hard work. Yes, hard work matters, and you can’t skimp on it. But it has to be directed in the right way.”

Get a waterproof Bluetooth speaker. Pick a different song from your playlist each morning (or play one at random). Start your shower when the song starts and finish it when it finishes (and don’t cheat by going for the 8-minute-42-second version of Purple Rain !).

1. Musical showers

If you’ve got kids, turn saving energy into a weekly or monthly competition, with prizes for whoever saves the most (or something smaller each time they do something that saves energy). Or you could use a penalty system to award ‘bad’ points for wastage with the winner being whoever has the fewest points at the end of the week or month.

2. Gamify saving

Check out your previous year’s energy consumption ahead of the next billing period then set out to beat it (meaning use less, not more). Maybe put your target in dollar terms and put the difference – the amount you come in under budget – toward something you want.

3. Beat the budget

As a variation on ‘date night’, pick one night a week to use next to no electricity (no cooking, no TV, no devices, and no more than one light on at a time). Get fish and chips and make your own entertainment, from board games to reading to a family art project.
